AUDITION REQUIREMENTS	ADULTS We are looking for performers of all ethnicities with strong vocal and acting ability who can move well. Experience in the performing arts is definitely an asset. Please prepare your best 16 bars each of two contrasting, appropriate, musical theatre-style songs of your choice (nothing from the show, please). Pieces should be memorized. Please bring sheet music for the accompanist, or a karaoke CD (with no lyrics). Before booking an audition time slot, please make sure that you have understood the audition requirements and read the rehearsal/performance schedule on the information PDF, above . CHILDREN'S CHOIR Children must be 8 to a small 13 in age. They must have good focus, good voices and an ability to move, as well. The audition will consist of a workshop to assess movement, vocal and acting ability. It will run on October 30th from 4:30 - 6:00pm. Please email us to register for the workshop.
MEMBERSHIP FEE	There is a $150 committment fee to be involved with this production. This $150 fee must be paid to City Youth Players at the first rehearsal.
AUDITION DATES & LOCATIONS	There are three phases to the audition process: AUDITIONS Only those selected for the next round of the audition process will need to attend the dance call. DANCE CALL If invited to the dance call, you must be available for the entire time. Those invited to come to the callbacks will be selected from the dance call. CALLBACKS Callbacks may consist of vocals, script readings and dance. REHEARSAL SCHEDULE	Cast members will only be called to the rehearsals for which they are required. Due to the intense rehearsal process, attendance at these rehearsals is mandatory. Adult Cast members must be available for the following days and times for rehearsals: Wednesday Evenings (6:30 - 9:30pm) Thursday Evenings - primarily Leads only (7:30 - 9:30pm) Sunday Afternoons (12:00 - 5:00pm) Children's Choir members must be available for the following: From October 23rd - December 18th: Sundays from 10:00 - 12:00pm For January & February: children you must be available for, but are not requiredfor all - Sundays from 10:00 - 5:00pm & Wednesdays from 6.30 - 9:00pm

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE	Twelve performances (over two weeks: Thu - Sun) at the Vaughan City Playhouse Theatre: Thursday February 23rd - Sunday March 4th, 2012 (There will be student matinee performances on the Thursday and/or Friday mornings)
